I studied at Ridgeway College Southport from 1979 to 1982 in Ceramics gaining a Diploma.  I then took Sculpture Classes at the same college. During that time I was asked to teach at Banora Point School Adult Education Classes which were through Lismore TAFE.  I taught privately at my studio from 1981 to 1992.

I love the connection of the clay forms, but really loved the hand building techniques and this became my passion.

I ventured into Raku, after spending time in different workshops, returning to the work force till 1999, but during this time took painting classes.

I then embarked on another 4 year course at Kingscliff TAFE, from 2001to 2004. Gaining a Diploma in Grahpic Design, this is a true art form, which I then combined with my photography which I have always played with since owing a camera at the age of 12, my creativity seemed to come alive and I just love the images that can be captured and reproduced in so many different ways.

I have never had any formal training with photography, but have won the Tweed Shire Photographic Competition in 2005 and 2006 second place in 2007.

I was a finalist in the Olive Cotton Award 2008, and have also been awarded second and third places in other competitions. A photograph in the July edition of Australian Traveller 2009 was a highlight.

I have been fortunate enough to have travelled extensively in the last 20 years and have possibly a million photos from around the world, some of these are in this display of my work.  Each one has a little story attached and I hope they will inspire you to have a go.
